Maple Garlic Pork Tenderloin

Prep Time: 5 minutes.  Marinating Time: 8 hours (or overnight).  Cooking Time: 25 minutes.

Servings: 4

A Word From The Cook

Don’t cook this one on high heat on the BBQ, the Maple Syrup will burn quickly.  Keep basting and turning the pork.

This is a great marinade with a blend of sweet and savoury.

Ingredients

Marinade:

  • 2 TBSP Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic (minced)
  • 5-6 grinds of black pepper
  • 1 Cup Maple Syrop
  • 1 Pork Tenderloin (about 2 lbs)

Instructions

  1. Combine Dijon, Sesame oil, Garlic, Pepper and Maple Syrop and mix to combine.
  2. Place the Tenderloin in a large sealable plastic bag and pour the marinade in.  Massage into the Tenderloin and refridgerate overnight.
  3. Preheat the BBQ to a Medium-Low heat
  4. Remove Tenderloin from the marinade just before cooking.
  5. Place the remaining marinade into a small saucepan,  cook this for about 5 minutes on medium.
  6. BBQ the Tenderloin on medium-low for about 20 -25 minutes.   Basting frequently with the remaining marinade.   Inside temperature should be about 145.
  7. Remove and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Slice and enjoy.
